SHMMP 2025 EXPANDED, MORE ESSENTIAL ITEMS INCLUDED FOR KAAMATAN AND GAWAI FESTIVALS

KOTA KINABALU, 23 MAY 2025 – The Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN) will implement the Festive Season Maximum Price Control Scheme (SHMMP) in conjunction with the Kaamatan and Gawai Festival celebrations 2025 for a duration of 7 days.
This year, the scheme has been expanded compared to the previous year, with the addition of 2 more items for the Kaamatan Festival and 3 more items for the Gawai Festival.
The implementation of SHMMP aims to ensure consumers can enjoy fair prices while also easing the burden on the business community during the festive season.
YB Datuk Armizan Mohd Ali announced the SHMMP for Kaamatan and Gawai during the Sentuhan Kasih Programme, Jualan RAHMAH MADANI, and Consumer Advocacy event held at Kg Kobuni, Inanam, Sabah.
