OCPB Organizes Workshop to Clarify the 2021 Ministerial Regulation on Unfair or Potentially Harmful Advertising of Goods and Services
Thailand , 25 June 2025

On Monday, 23 June 2025, Mr. Ronarong Poonpipat, Secretary-General of the Office of the Consumer Protection Board (OCPB), presided over the opening of a workshop to deepen understanding of the 2021 Ministerial Regulation on advertising statements for goods or services that are unfair to consumers or potentially harmful to the public. The event aimed to strengthen participants’ knowledge of consumer protection—particularly how to draft advertising messages in full compliance with the regulation’s criteria in a clear, appropriate and correct manner—and to give attendees the opportunity to exchange views, review real-world implementation challenges, and gather insights and recommendations. Those outcomes will feed into the review and refinement of the regulation to keep it up-to-date and aligned with today’s social context and consumer behavior. The workshop was held at the Centara Life Government Complex Hotel & Convention Center, Chaeng Watthana, Bangkok.
